Monday (day two)
I realized tonight at 11pm that today was a holiday. Totally missed that.
This morning my husband let me sleep in, a friend delivered Starbucks to my doorstep, the older siblings went swimming with friends, the littles and I took a nap together, Randy got out of the house for a bit, and my mother-in-law brought dinner to us. Oh, and there was more laughter than crying in our home...er, at least it was close enough to call it a tie. Doesn't get much better for the second day home!
The big boys head back to school tomorrow. We honestly can't remember if Elijah starts preschool tomorrow too (he'll only go three days per week - we just can't recall which ones). I guess we'll find out when we show up!
Tomorrow also begins a long string of doctors' appointments for our little gal. The hematologist is first, then the international adoption clinic, pediatrician, audiologist, ophthalmologist, endocrinologist, and dentist. The poor thing will be subjected to a lot of exams, blood work, and tests. I can't imagine that it will be much fun for any of us, but especially for her. We'd love your prayers for tolerance and patience during the visits, for her overall health, and for our peace with whatever we may need to do to help our little girl reach her full potential. And any prayers and good wishes that we won't find ourselves dealing with parasites and/or scabies will receive bonus points. :)
Here's a snapshot of our little nut from back in the days of the China breakfast buffet. Just one of her (many) silly faces...
